We’ve all been there: you’re on the way to an important meeting or interview and a fellow passenger blocks your way. What do you do? Hopefully not what this man did!

the tube

A man turned up to an interview in London very red-faced this week, after it turned out that his interviewer was the same person as the man he told to ‘go f**k himself’ on the Underground.

While on his way to work, the interviewer was minding his own business on the Tube when a man bustled past him, with a push and a shove and some expletive comments. Perhaps the man was stressed, or maybe just rude? Either way, it left a lasting image in the interviewer’s mind.

What a surprise then, when the very same man turned up to interview for a position at the firm the interviewer worked for – the role of Python Developer at Forward Partners.

Buckland

“It was totally awkward,” Buckland said to the BBC. “So I approached it by asking him if he’d had a good commute that morning. We laughed it off and in a very British way I somehow ended up apologising.”
